Join us here on the edge of the rain forest at Ilanin Bay in the sun-kissed Philippines. Ocean Adventure is Southeast Asia's only open-water marine park. Here our animals live and play in a natural setting of clear water teeming with marine life, coral reefs, and a lovely white sand beach. Experience our dolphins, sea lions, rescued forest animals, and a host of fish and sea creatures in a variety of exciting and intimate ways! Our covered walkways, sheltered stadiums, and indoor facilities insure you'll have a comfortable experience, rain or shine.

MISSION STATEMENT

To establish a world-class marine attraction that provides a highly entertaining and informative guest experience through presentations and direct interaction with marine mammals, and viewing of marine life exhibits. To increase public awareness on the need to protect and conserve marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the surrounding communities.

WE WALK THE WALK

For 10 years Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium, a Philippine Corporation, has owned and operated Ocean Adventure as well as Camayan Beach Resort, located right next door. Ocean Adventure has earned the reputation as a premiere attraction in Southeast Asia. We pride ourselves on providing wholesome family entertainment that is both enjoyable and educational. Our commitment to environmental awareness, wildlife conservation, and the welfare of animals is at the heart of who we are as a company. Our corporate social responsibility program is second to none.

Ocean Adventure is home to several species of dolphins, all of whom are rescued animals. Some came from the drive fishery in Japan where they were literally hours away from being slaughtered. Others were rescued when they came ashore sick and injured in local Philippine waters and once rehabilitated were unlikely to survive if released.

Ocean Adventure opposes the killing of marine mammals anywhere. Nations such as Japan have permitted the harvesting of dolphins and whales, as a food source, for hundreds of years. Less than 1% of these animals are allowed to be taken alive each year, thus saving them from slaughter. That is why we chose to rescue animals from this industry.

We have teamed up with the NGO Wildlife in Need (WIN) to build and operate the WIN Rescue Center to care for sick, injured, and confiscated wildlife. We also have an active sea turtle conservation and research program to protect and monitor sea turtle nests and hatchlings. We have the only Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in the Philippines.

Finally, in 2002 we created the Ocean Adventure Stranding Response Team to lead marine mammal rescue efforts in the Philippines. To date we have been involved in 37 whale and dolphin strandings and 2 dugong strandings. We train government and NGO personnel on marine mammal stranding response through our Cetacean Stranding Response Workshop. Over 1,000 participants have gone through the course here at Ocean Adventure or have received training through our regional Workshops. We also train veterinarians in marine mammal medicine through our latest Workshop on Medical Management of Stranded Marine Mammals. We have produced and disseminated a wide array of educational materials on marine conservation including posters, brochures, and booklets.

At Ocean Adventure we truly “WALK THE WALK”.
