YOUTH ENVIRO-CAMPS

Youth Enviro-Camps are a fun way to educate children and teens about the challenges facing nature and the environment today. At Enviro-Camps, kids participate in games and activities focusing on the importance of the environment and the responsible stewardship towards it. The learning goes far beyond a a classroom setting as campers immerse themselves in nature with direct hands-on experience with animals and the natural environment. The modules taught in these camps will vary depending on the age group, ranging from lessons on biodiversity, habitats and ecosystems, natural resources, marine mammals, the coral reef, the forest, wildlife, outdoor survival, indigenous cultures, and conservation action.

Forest and Sea Adventure Camp

Duration:
2.5 days and 2 nights

Description:
The Forest and Sea Adventure Camp takes kids on an exploration of both the terrestrial and marine environments where they are introduced to conservation lessons, indigenous cultures, and outdoor survival. During the day, activities include lectures, hikes, bird watching, snorkeling, art projects, games, and animal encounters. Evening activities include stories, games, films, and demonstrations. Campers stay in shared rooms at the Camayan Beach Resort Hotel.

Participants:        

  • Children age 10-14
  • Minimum - Maximum 6-24 campers

Sleep with the Fish Overnight Camp

Duration:
1.5 days/1 night

Description:        
Sleep with the Fishes Camp introduces kids to the wonders of the marine environment. Camp begins at 9:00 AM and ends at noon the following day. Activities include lectures, art projects, games, and animal encounters. Campers sleep over in the Ocean Discovery Aquarium where they’ll learn about the nighttime behavior of the fishes that live there. They will also enjoy stories and games and a walk through Ocean Adventure after dark. Campers must bring their own sleeping bags.

  • Offered for two age groups: 8-10 and 11-14

Enviro Day Camps

Duration:
Half-day (4 to 5 hours) for 5 days (mornings or afternoons)

Description:        
Enviro Camp is designed to explore a different topic each day. Kids discover the world of marine mammals, sea turtles, coral reefs, rain forests, and wildlife. Activities include arts and crafts, demonstrations, hands on animal encounters, hikes, and snorkeling.

  • Offered for three age groups, 5-7, 8-10 and 11-14
  • Minimum - Maximum 6-24 campers
